“Bikkur Cholim” or visiting of the sick, is a pillar of the beliefs of the Jewish Home and care Center. The Jewish Home and Care Center is proud of its many volunteers who range in age from 1 to 102 and who add quality to the lives of our residents in almost every area of the Home. Our Gift Shop is run totally by volunteers, and as a result, all profits can be used to directly benefit our residents. Our volunteer visitors give the precious gift of time on a regular basis. Our award winning Caring Partner volunteer program has been recognized as a national leader in innovative end of life care. Our “terrific teens” help with parties and special program. Our volunteer program has been developed to provide opportunities for any schedule, and our volunteers easily develop a schedule of visits from once a week to once or twice a year.
