Every neighborhood at the Jewish Home and Care Center has a social worker who welcomes each resident when he or she is admitted. The social worker helps the residents become acclimated to their households, assists them in their adjustments and addresses their emotional needs. The social workers are liaisons between the Home and the family; they communicate with the family on a variety of issues such as insurance coverage, resident progress, and facility practice as well as discharge planning when the resident is ready to return home.
